My research interests include sustainable urban development and the interaction between nature and humans. I am completing my thesis for an MSc in Global Change: Ecosystem Science and Policy. This is a joint programme between University College Dublin in Ireland and Justus-Liebig University in Germany. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Analytics from Indiana University Bloomington. My transdisciplinary background makes me an effective communicator in both academic and non-academic spaces and my goal at NovelEco is to bridge the gap between the scientific and policy-making communities.
In the NovelEco project, I am measuring residents’ perception and connectedness with informal urban wild spaces, and I will be doing this research in the Kilmainham area of Dublin, Ireland. I have selected the novel ecosystem along Kilmainham Lane and will be studying how the local community, as well as visitors to the area, perceive this unusual urban habitat. I am happy to hear from anyone who consents to an interview.
