Dr. Clair Cooper

Research Fellow

I completed my Ph.D. at Durham University, and I am an early career fellow at the Urban Systems Lab, New School, sponsored by the NATURA project. Using geometric data analysis techniques, thematic mapping, and quantitative text analysis, my thesis explores the nexus between nature-based solutions and structural conditions that influence poor health in cities. My wider research interests are influenced by my experience in the water industry in the UK, where I was responsible for designing community-based programs for water-use behavior. These interests include nature-based solutions and novel ecosystems, behavior change, nature connectedness and rewilding, complex systems, and mixed-method approaches.
